How do I make rehydration salt for my dog(s)?

        · FAQ

        Answer:

There are two ways to make rehydration salt at home

        1. Sugar and salt mixture.
        2. Flavored rehydration solution.

        Sugar and salt mixture:

          Take 1 liter of water.

          • 4-8 tablespoons of sugar for example (table sugar, honey, fructose, etc.)
          • 1 teaspoon of salt (table salt or sea salt)

Directions: You will first need to boil the water, wait for a few minutes to allow the water to cool or by adding an ice cube or two, before adding sugar and salt. You can now serve this to your dog.

Note: Avoid adding artificial sweeteners and flavors because they can cause poisoning in dogs.

          Flavored rehydration solution

          • Take some raw chicken and ordinary water.

Directions: Put some chicken in boiling water. After a few minutes, separate the chicken from the water and serve this water to your dog after adding in cool drinking water to cool off the drink before serving. This is a great way to naturally spice up the flavor of the water as its a more enjoyable rehydration solution for your pup!
