      REPORT ANIMAL CRUELTY

How to control hypertension/high blood pressure caused by renal/kidney issue?

      · FAQ

      Answer:

In any case of hypertension, you can give your cat or dog the following medication(s):

      1. Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors)
      2. Low salt diet (pet food containing low salt content)
      3. Calcium channel blockers
      4. Angiotensin receptor blockers

Make sure that the pet food contains low salt content, which can be checked on the back of where the nutritional label is located. Carefully compare and choose the right food containing the lowest salt content. (sodium chloride which we call table or sea salt, is an important salt to be checked)

Consult your local veterinarian for further diagnosis
